The start to the summer of 2021 was VERY full and I'm happy to report that not only have I made it through (there were definitely moments when I thought I might not, ha!) I'm also happy to say that things are starting to get back into a normal flow, now, after all the upheaval.
What upheaval, you ask? If you follow along with me on social media or through my newsletter, you already know that I moved my studio last month. And wow, was it a huge undertaking. I am not sure I really understood how much stuff (both physical and emotional) I had housed up in the old studio, but it was a LOT. The move was cathartic, though - it was time for a change, whether I knew it or not. And I'm so happy with the new space, which I share with the amazingly talented Kathryn Cooke of Blue Eyes Studio.
Through the moving weeks, I was also busy with portrait sessions, catching up with people after the last COVID shutdown. I'm so very grateful to have had a full shoot calendar - thank you so much to every one of you who has visited for a portrait, either in the old studio or the new one.
I didn't take many other photos of the move (which is very strange for me) but as always, I have some flowers to share with you. One of my very last shoots in the upstairs studio was a still life of these amazing Free Spirit roses I got from Willow Flower Co...
And the very first shoot I did in the new studio was of course, more flowers...
I have a brand new poster shop opening in the next few weeks, so I'm excited to let you know that these flowers (and so many others) will be available to purchase as large fine art posters, shipped anywhere in North America, very soon! Keep your eye on my instagram for the announcement!
